Saturday 14 November saw the South African kiteboarding community mixed with a few Europeans coming together for a fun filled evening to kick off the Summer Season and start of the windy period in Cape Town. The main purpose of the evening was to raise funds for Dutch Kiteboarding Superstar Ruben Lenten in his fight against cancer!
Although Ruben couldn’t be at the party because of undergoing treatment, we managed to have a brief skype conversation with him – he is as positive as ever and in true Len10 style he is fighting hard…
The evening saw party goers entertained by some good tunes, a number of foosball tournaments, many a laugh at the beer pong tables which definitely contributed to a festive evening and the bouncy boxer rowed up the crowd with even more laughs!
The evening saw just over R30 000 raised for Ruben’s fight! We would like to thank everyone of the industry and community who came out and were so willing to get behind this great cause. Looking forward to seeing Ruben in recovery as he will be back in Cape Town in early 2016 to watch the RedBull King of the Air – an event he is pretty much the poster child for! #FightHard
